Knoxville, Sonoma-Lake Napa Unit, Cal Fire. Twenty-nine miles north of Napa, CA. Brush and grass. Moderate fire activity.
No structures are threatened. No evacuations.
Firefighters are continuing to build and improve containment line around the fire. Terrain is extremely rugged and steep.
Containment was achieved at 11:00 am on Monday, Aug 15.
Berryessa/Knoxville road is closed until Monday, August 15 at 12:00 pm.
Two road closure locations: 2 miles north of Lake Berryessa and 3 miles south on Napa – Lake County line.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Cooperating Agencies: Napa County Fire, Lake County Fire, CDCR, CHP, Dept. of Fish and Game, BLM.
