Pass, Mendocino Unit, Cal Fire. Five miles east of Covelo, CA. Timber and brush. Minimal fire activity. Reduced acreage due to more accurate mapping.

No structures threatened. Full containment expected later today.

Firefighters continue to construct and improve containment lines, improve and hold fire lines and put out hot spots. Planned transition from unified command to USFS command today.

Cooperating Agencies: CAL FIRE, Brootrails FD, Covelo FD, Laytonville FD, Little Lake FD, Redwood Valley/Calpella FD, Ukiah Valley FPD, US Forest Service, CA Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The cause is under investigation.
