Pleasant Valley Road near High Road and French Corral, North San Juan, Nevada County (right below the Yuba Fire perimeter). Start date: September 7, 2009 approximately 6:14 p.m.
The fire was reportedly started by a person using a weed-eater.
Heavy brush. Air resources on site. Ground resources arrived on scene. Tankers and helicopters slowing progress of the fire. Strike teams on order.
Forward progress of the fire has been stopped.
