The forward progress of the fire has been completely stopped. Firefighters are continuing to mop up and extinguish hot spots. Downed fuels in the steep draws and difficult access are their main concerns. It is expected that crews will be on scene for two more days.

Mop-up operations will continue for several hours. All aircraft have been released back to their bases.

Firefighters have the Yeager fire surrounded. Mop-up operations are beginning and some excess resources are being released. Official containment now 70%.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Northops is reporting a 50% containment.

Good progress is being reported. Some remote homes were threatened, but structure protection has been provided. No injuries, no damages to report at this time.

5 airtankers, 2 helicopters, 15 engines, 2 hand crews and two dozers on scene.

No road closures, no evacuations. Additional units from Amador are en route to the incident. The fire is burning in terrain difficult to access.

Firefighters just discovered a marijuana growing operation on top of a hill. Law enforcement will be called in.
Numerous resources and aircraft committed to the incident. Smoke from this grass fire can be seen in Penn Valley, Grass Valley and surrounding areas. No structures threatened at this time. No evacuations.
Resources on scene include: Cal Fire, Tahoe National Forest, Nevada County Consolidated, Smartsville Fire, Penn Valley Fire and Beale Air Force Base.
