Dry CAL FIRE, EB I-80 and Dry Creek, moderate rate of spread. Burning in grass. Drift smoke is a traffic hazard for motorists on I-80. Contained at approximately 2 acres by units at scene at 2:07 p.m. on Sept. 5 2009. Aircraft are being released.  

Pleasant, Donovan Road in Penn Valley, Nevada County CAL FIRE. Grass and oak. Four engines on scene, airtac overhead, one tanker and one helicopter on scene. The fire was contained at 10:30 a.m. Mopup operations in progress.
