Alpine Meadows Ski Resort Opens Friday, December 12

Tahoe City, CA Dec. 11, 2008 - Lake Tahoe's Alpine Meadows Ski Resort will open for skiing and snowboarding Friday, December 12.
The resort will offer beginner through advanced terrain via Kangaroo Double Chair and Meadow Double Chair. Groomed trails will offer terrain from 9am to 4pm, weather and conditions permitting.
"With recent cold temperatures, Alpine's snowmaking team has been able create a quality snow surface for opening day. The first day of the season is always a celebration and a chance to reconnect with friends, and once again be reminded of our comfortable winter footwear. We're all looking forward to taking a few runs Friday," said Jim Kercher, Alpine Meadows General Manager.
Dining, rental equipment, and other resort services will include the Meadows Cafe, Estelle Sports retail shop, season pass office, and the ski/snowboard rental shop, all located in the base lodge. The opening day adult lift ticket price will be $39; and youth tickets will be $10. Kids ages four and under ski or ride free. Join the Alpine Club for savings on tickets all winter in addition to savings in the rental and repair center, dining, shopping, and more.
