September 7, 2012 - The Famous Marching Presidents of Nevada City will make their only appearance of 2012 this Sunday, Sept. 9, in the 46th Annual Nevada City Constitution Day Parade.
Founded in 1988, the Marching Presidents are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year, with a theme of "Silver in the Gold Country."
The group includes all 44 presidents in the history of the United States, from George Washington to Barack Obama, accompanied by their First Ladies and cadres of trench-coated Secret Service agents.
This appearance is believed to be the singular time and place on the planet where all American Presidents gather together, partisan politics aside, to celebrate the U.S. Constitution, freedom and the American way of life.
The 46th Annual Nevada City Constitution Day Parade moves a down a flag and bunting-draped Broad Street through historic downtown Nevada City at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9. The Marching Presidents will march in the 57th slot.
