Arrest of Patrick Carter at transient camp

March 8, 2013 - Today the Nevada County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Task Force assisted by Nevada City Police Department served a search warrant leading to the arrest of Patrick Carter, age 27. Mr. Carter lived in a transient camp located on Nevada City public property, located on Coyote Street. During a search of the camp, Mr. Carter was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Officers located over 25 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash during the search.

Mr. Carter was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on charges of being under the influence, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
