May 11, 2014 - Breezy North to Northeast winds today. Warming trend into mid week bringing temperatures around 15 degrees above normal and near record high temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday as upper level ridge builds over the area. Cooler temperatures for the weekend.

Discussion

Temperatures are running about 5 degrees warmer than yesterday and will warm into the lower 80s. Breezy northerly winds will occur again today for the valley. As the winds pick up in the valley the gusty easterly winds in the Mountains will taper later this morning.

High pressure will build over the region through the middle of this week. Each day temperatures will be getting warmer...warming into the 90s by Tuesday. The ridge will peak over the west coast Wednesday through Friday with temperatures warming into the mid 90s in the valley to the 70s and 80s in the mountains.
