By: Northstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe

TRUCKEE and SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. September 2, 2008 - Lake Tahoe's best season pass value just got even better with an extended deadline and discounted pricing from Northstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resorts. With the Farmer's Almanac calling for a better than average annual snowfall this winter, this is the year to make sure you get your season pass and get it early.

Current Double Whammy season pass prices are being extended through November 15, 2008. Passholders who purchase by September 30, 2008 will receive up to $60 off the current pass prices.

The Double Whammy season pass allows access to nearly 5,000 acres of terrain at Northstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resorts. With a combined dozen terrain parks, incredible tree skiing on both sides of Lake Tahoe, 135 trails, 29 lifts, snowshoe trails at both resorts and more than 40 km of cross-country trails at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort, the Double Whammy season pass is Lake Tahoe's premier winter access pass.

Extensive trail work at Northstar Resort has extended the ski trail network on Lookout Mountain. Three trails have been lengthened to the Martis Valley floor while a new intermediate trail, Washoe, has been created. The newly extended Martis Camp Express, formerly Lookout Mountain Express, gives skiers and snowboarders access to more than 80 acres of gladed tree skiing. Northstar Resort has also enhanced the resort's snowmaking system on Lookout Mountain, which will make for great early season skiing and riding.

Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort offers skiers and snowboarders the only Superpipe on Tahoe's South Shore as well as innovative terrain parks, incredible tree skiing in Jack's Bowl and Avalanche Bowl and long, groomed cruisers in West Bowl. Just outside the five backcountry gates, Huckleberry Canyon awaits with rock drops, natural chutes, cliff jumps and powder for days after a storm. Sierra Resort is known among locals for offering a truly authentic California ski experience.
