Foothill Theatre accommodates public and changes meeting venue to Nevada City Hall

NEVADA CITY Aug. 4, 2008 - The Foothill Theatre Company's emergency community meeting has been opened to the public. Originally the meeting was to only include elected officials and business and community leaders. As a result of public outcry and interest the meeting's venue has been changed. The meeting will now be held at 1:00 Tuesday, August 5th at the Nevada City Chambers located inside Nevada City City Hall at 317 Broad Street.
The meeting will be officiated by Lowell Robertson, President of the FTC board of directors, Karen Marinovich, Executive Director and Carolyn Howarth, Artistic Director.
The meeting will address the current financial condition of Foothill Theatre Company, how and why it got there and the business plan in place to prevent a recurrence. If Foothill theatre Company cannot raise $90,000 in the next two weeks and an additional $157,000 by the end of the year or the 32 year old theatre company will have to close its doors.
