Oct. 3, 2008 - The Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association, in partnership with the Inyo National Forest, is pleased to announce the establishment of a fund to help with the reconstruction of the Bristlecone Pine Forest Visitor Center. The non-profit interpretive association is seeking 1000 bristlecone pine lovers to purchase a symbolic log for the new building. At a cost of $285.00, each donation will be a small but vitally important step to providing funds to help rebuild the much loved log cabin visitor center! While the Inyo National Forest is working to obtain government funding for a new facility, it is critical that other funds be quickly raised to take advantage of matching grant opportunities.
As a donor, you will receive a beautiful certificate and card suitable to use if you would like your donation to be a gift in the name of someone special - great for the upcoming holiday season.
To arrange for a log purchase or additional information on the tax deductible program please contact either Debbe Eilts at 873-2411 or John Louth at 873-2514.
