Grass Valley, CA February 7, 2012 - Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Nevada County's Gather the Women, International Women's Day Event. Gather the Women is a movement catalyzing personal, community and global transformation.  Our purpose is to bring women together to recognize their brilliance, share their vision, be an effective and valued resource, and identify and connect women leaders who are dedicated to a vision of positive change.

This 10th anniversary event combines the experience, enthusiasm, dedication and motivation of hundreds of women who will gather together for this inspirational evening. This event promises to be the most spectacular gathering of our ten-year history of celebrating International Women's Day. Join us on Friday, March 9, 2012 for music from Blues, Soul & Gospel Singer/Songwriter Sista Monica, introducing keynote, Sera Beak, a thought provoking speaker and author of "The Red Book", and See Jane Do broadcasting from New York City at the Women of the World Conference and the 56th session of the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women. Included in the evening's festivities are local harpist, Lisa Stine and violinist, Nancy Hill.

"I felt the power – women of talent, skill, insight, vision knowing that they were making a difference in the world…" by Pam Jung, former attendee.

This year's theme, "Looking Back, Moving Forward" will also unfold through the viewing of short video clips and the opportunity for each woman to express "How I'm Moving Forward" in her own life.

"I walked away with new hope for my granddaughter's future." said Suzann Cimo-Potampa after attending her first GTW event.
