Join Other Like-Minded Locals In The Lake Tahoe Outdoor Adventure Group

By: Tahoe Mountain Sports

KINGS BEACH, Calif. April 5, 2013 – Tahoe Mountain Sports is proud to announce the formation of their meet-up group, the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Adventure Group, on meetup.com. Are you looking for people to do fun things with outdoors? Maybe your friend that is new to the area wants someone to hike with, or your significant other desperately needs to find their own set of biking friends. The Lake Tahoe Outdoor Adventure Group is a great way to meet others who share a passion for outdoor activities, and it's free to join! Now you can post your plans (or ideas for future plans) and start discussing cool activities like day hikes, trail runs, bike rides, yoga on the beach, and anything else you can (or can't) think of. Collaborate with others to come up with a creative outing, or invite someone to tag along on a trip you've got planned. That's the beauty of being part of a group!

With a fun-filled winter behind them, Tahoe Mountain Sports is excited to see many more meet-ups as the warmer months roll in. Some fun things they've got lined up are: a Trail Run Demo with new shoes from top brands; Ladies Night, where local women enjoy snacks, drinks, socializing and rare discounts; Ultimate Frisbee on the beach; and much more much more!

Here are a few examples of cool activities the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Adventure Group has hosted: early morning backcountry skiing near Mt. Rose and on the West Shore of the lake; ice climbing at the Donner Pass train tunnel; Skate Skiing 101 at Tahoe City Cross Country; Nachtspektakel - a nighttime ski tour with friends, food and drinks.

Become a fellow Tahoe Trekker so everyone can get together and have fun outdoors more often! It's a great way to meet locals and share some good times, enjoy new activities you may not have thought up on your own, and even save money on outdoor gear (TMS gives a 10% in-store discount to members of their meet-up group). Knowing their neighbors and customers means a lot to Tahoe Mountain Sports, and they hope to share fun times outdoors with each of you soon!
