April 18, 2012 - The Lake Tahoe Water Trail Team created a new map series you can download and print of Lake Tahoe Water Trail launching and landing points, and local tips about weather, interpretive information, and safety. Get them here and let us know how you like them!
Lake Tahoe offers 72+ miles of shoreline, with sandy beaches and rocky inlets – ideal conditions for kayaks, paddleboards, and other non-motorized watercraft. Public agencies in both states operate beaches with good launching opportunities. The map on this page identifies the main launch sites for a wide variety of day trip experiences. At these sites, you will find parking and restrooms during the summer paddling season.
The Lake Tahoe Water Trail Day Trips Map Series breaks the route into seven segments and provides much more information about what you will find on your trip. Follow the link for each segment to get a more detailed map and table with information about parking fees, seasonal closures, and other launch site amenities.
