March 8, 2012 - About two dozen members of the League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County volunteered Thursday to spend all day counting the mail-in ballots submitted to the voters of the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District, the "Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Response Services Measure."
It provides for an annual special tax. It won well over the two-thirds majority to pass.
