Full updates on the small fires are posted under Tahoe Lightning in the Fire News section.

May 4, 2013 - The low pressure front passing through Northern California caused the predicted thunder storms. Several small fires have started, north of Bullards Bar on the Tahoe National Forest. Two small fires, named the Bar and the Pendola, are being fought both by groundcrews and air tankers. The erratic winds are a concern, hampering efforts by air tankers.

The fires will be staffed overnight and additional resources are on their way.

Tomorrow morning the air tac planes will fly reconnaissance over the area and identify any new fires that might pop up overnight.
