Grass Valley, CA Jan. 3, 2009 - Grass Valley illustrator/artist Jerianne Van Dijk has gone to pieces - literally - and is quite pleased about it!
The pieces are in the form of three new puzzles marketed by the online puzzle company Bits and Pieces, producers of a large array of deluxe jigsaw puzzles for the United States and England marketplace.
"I have actually gone to a thousand pieces each!" says Jerianne, who is thrilled to know her work is going to be so closely scrutinized by people who enjoy the challenge of completing complex puzzles. "Bits and Pieces is exclusive to the web though, so you won't be able to purchase any in stores or local shops."
Though versatile in style, the original artwork for these three puzzles represents Van Dijk's more romantic work. For over 26 years Van Dijk has illustrated everything from books to posters and product labels. She also paints custom murals and wall art, a sample of which may be viewed at Tofanelli's Restaurant in Grass Valley. Most recently Van Dijk has created the "Hog Wild" labels for Indian Springs Winery and is again the featured artist and poster creator for the upcoming Zinfandel Advocates and Producers (ZAP) event in San Francisco.
