Seen here speaking for the Alternative Board, Ruth Schwartz will speak along with life coach and consultant, Lori-Burkart Frank and Shawn Tuttle of Project Simplify, at an upcoming televised meeting.
Feb. 18, 2009 - The International Toastmasters Organization is joining with NCTV this month to televise a mock Toastmasters meeting which will be aired at a later date.
The four area clubs wish to encourage membership by demonstrating to local viewers the nature of their meetings and the type of resume building, training and experience the club can provide. "It's a great way to document the type of experiences that employers want to see on resumes." says Diane Di Leo who is a realtor at Network Real Estate and recently became a club officer. "With the challenging economic times and local loss of jobs, we are available to help our members boost career skills or just be positive and help them keep their sanity," she adds with a laugh.
The televised program will be a shortened version of the typical meeting. It will feature three of some of the more experienced speakers, Ruth Schwartz, of the Alternative Board, Lori Burkart-Frank, a facilitator for the Nevada County Leadership Conference and life coach and Shawn Tuttle of Project Simplify. There will be impromptu evaluations of the speakers and Karen Chileski will be the toastmaster for the mock meeting.
