PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, on December 17, 2009, the Board of Directors for the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District (NCCFD) recognized two vacancies on the Board. The first vacancy is effective Dec. 17, 2009 & the second is effective Jan. 31, 2010. This notice contains information for those interested in applying for either vacancy.

Any NCCFD resident interested in either position should send a letter of interest along with a current resume by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 to Chairman David S. Hanson, c/o NCCFD Administrative Office, 11329 McCourtney Rd., Grass Valley, CA 95949.

Filling of vacancies will be considered at the Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at NCCFD Station 84, 10135 Coyote St., Nevada City. Applicants will be asked to make a brief presentation at this Regular Board Meeting. Please note that the term for the first position is from date of appointment through December 2010; while the term for the second position is from the date of appointment through December 2012.

The NCCFD Regular Board Meetings are held every 3rd Thursday of the month, with the exception of June, when it is on the 4th Thursday. Agendas may be seen 72 hours in advance of a Board Meeting at the below listed locations.

Locations of Notice: Pursuant to CA Gov. Code Sec. 1780, this notice shall be posted in three or more conspicuous places, within the District at least 15 days before the appointment is made, which are, in Grass Valley - NCCFD Admin. Office, 11329 McCourtney Rd; NCCFD Station 88, 14518 HWY 49 S; & NCCFD St 89, 11833 Tammy Way; In Nevada City -NCCFD St 84, 10135 Coyote St & NCCFD St 86, 12337 Banner Lava Cap; and at www.YubaNet.com & www.nccfire.com. This Notice is published in The Union newspaper.
