Who Sits on the Nevada County Library Committees?

NEVADA CITY, Calif. November 24, 2009 - At the end of today's BOS meeting, Chair Hank Weston released the names of the members of both the Library Oversight Committee and the second ad hoc committee.

The BOS directed that a committee consisting of representatives of the three city councils, and education and business representatives be formed. According to Weston, both the Library Oversight Committee and this second ad hoc committee have three tasks:

1) Review the proposals by LSSI and the Friends of the Library and make a recommendation.

2) Review the proposals by the County Librarian and make a recommendation

3) Provide any appropriate recommendations to the BOS.

The members of the Library Oversight Committee are Christine Trussler, Diane Davis, Jack Ricks, Susan Pearson and Ruth Hall.

The ad hoc committee is composed of: Lisa Swarthout (Grass Valley), Reinette Senum (Nevada City), Richard Anderson (Truckee), Mike McDaniel (Sierra Environmental Studies Foundation), Jim Meshwart (Retired Schools Superintendent and Executive Director of the Nevada County Business Association).
