February 15, 2013 - I am pleased to announce that Charles (Charlie) Wilson will be joining our executive team as the new Human Resources Director effective March 7. He brings over 30 years of experience in human resources administration, employee relations, recruitment and compensation, training and risk management.
Charlie has extensive public and private sector experience in managing human resources functions and for the past three and one-half years served as the Assistant Director of Human Resources for the County of Butte. He has held executive positions in the City of Roseville as the Assistant Human Resources Director and served as the Human Resources Manager for the City of Grass Valley. Additionally, he has over 17 years in the private sector working as a Human Resources professional.
A member of numerous human resources organizations, Charlie's knowledge of current issues facing public agencies will serve us well.
Charlie is a graduate of California State University, Chico with a degree in Public Administration. He has four adult children all attending universities or engaged in their own careers and recently moved to Grass Valley with his wife, who is a computer software consultant. He is looking forward to working in the community where he lives.
