By: State Water Resources Control Board

May 3, 2013 - On April 23, 2013, Placer County Water Agency (PCWA) filed two petitions for change with the State Water Board involving a temporary transfer of 20,000 acre-feet (af) of water to Westlands Water District (WWD) pursuant to Water code sections 1725-1732. The transfer would involve surplus water currently stored in PCWA's Middle Fork Project under Permits 13856 and 13858 (Applications 18085 and 18087). The proposed transfer would be supplied under the combined rights, with 10,000 acre-feet transferred under each permit.

To view project information, please visit the Division of Water Rights website at: http://www.waterboards.ca.gov/waterrights/water_issues/programs/applications/transfers_tu_notices/index.shtml

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact Greg Brown at (916)323-1847 or by email at gbrown@waterboards.ca.gov.
