November 27, 2012 at 8:59 AM - The Truckee Ranger District is canceling the prescribed burn we had planned today due to high winds expected tomorrow before the main low pressure system moves in.

November 27, 2012 - The Truckee Ranger District is planning to initiate a prescribed underburn of 40-60 acres in the Stampede Reservoir area, T19N, 17E sec 33 on Tuesday, October 27th.

The prescribed underburn will only take place if weather forecasts and conditions remain favorable. Planned ignition time is 10:00 a.m.

Smoke may settle into drainages in the morning hours afterwards and disperse as it gets warmer.

Please call 530-587-3558 ext. 238 office if you have questions or concerns. Thank you.
