Power outages in Nevada, Yuba and Sierra counties - updated

NEVADA CITY, Calif. July 4, 2014 - Three outages are affecting some 2,300 customers in Nevada, Yuba and Sierra Counties. PG&E is working to restore a major transmission line. Restoration time for all three outages is expected to be noon today, July 4th.

The three outages affect the following areas:

1. Yuba County area along Highway 49, north from Celestial Valley to Log Cabin and Camptonville, including Pike City, and the communities of Skyline Ranch And Pendola Ranch, near Bullards Bar Reservoir. 436 customers affected.

2. Nevada County area north of Nevada City, including French Corral, Birchville, Sweetland, North San Juan, Cherokee, North Columbia, and Freemans Crossing areas. 1,131 customers affected.

3. Sierra County area along Highway 49, east from Goodyears Bar and Downieville to Sierra City and Bassets, including Forest City, Alleghany, and Gold Lakes areas. 801 customers affected.

PG&E Spokesperson Jana Morris said all outages will be restored at the same time.
