The City of Grass Valley will be holding a community workshop on the proposed Idaho-Maryland Mine project. A description of the purpose, date, time and location of this workshop is provided below:
Purpose: This community workshop is one of three planned workshops that are part of the City's public outreach program for the Idaho-Maryland Mine
Project. Each workshop is designed to provide information on key issues of high public interest. These workshops will be conducted prior to the release of the draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR).
Topic: Ground Water and Geology
When: Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at 6:00 p.m.
Where: L.O.V.E. Building in Condon Park, 666 Minnie Street, Grass Valley
Format of Workshop: While the primary purpose of the outreach program is to provide information to the interested public, questions and comments will also be welcomed. For the first meeting, it is anticipated that the public will be given an opportunity to ask questions about the environmental setting as related to groundwater and geology in order to gain a better understanding of the system and how the EIR will assess the proposed project's potential impact.
Questions: If you have any questions, please call Tom Last, Planning Director, at the Grass Valley City Hall, 274-4711.
