March 26, 2013 - Nevada County Consolidated Fire, Engine-84, was requested by the North San Juan (NSJ) Fire Department to assist with a vehicle accident involving heavy extrication on Tyler Foote near Sweetland on Monday around 11:30 am.

A single vehicle had struck a tree on the drivers side, trapping the occupant. Engine-84 and NSJ Fire crews worked for 30 minutes with multiple extrication tools to remove the patient from the vehicle.

NSJ Fire crews landed a Cal Star air ambulance near the incident. The patient was transported by Sierra Nevada Medics to Cal Star for transport.

All units were released at 1:00 pm.
