March 1, 2012 - The National Weather Service in Sacramento has cancelled the winter weather advisory for the eastern Foothills of the Sacramento Valley and for the Motherlode. Showers continue over the eastern Sacramento Valley, Sierra Foothills and Motherlode this morning but snow levels have risen to around 3000 feet. Some snow shower activity may be possible through the early afternoon around the 3000 foot level with rain showers below this elevation.
Area: Northeast Foothills/Sacramento Valley - Motherlode including the cities of Paradise, Grass Valley, Jackson
Affected Counties or parts of: Yuba, Plumas, Yolo, El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Sierra, Alpine, Shasta, Tuolumne, Stanislaus, Sacramento, Placer, Solano, Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Sutter, Lake, Tehama, Nevada
