This will be the final update for this fire. The fire was turned over to a local Type 4 team Tuesday morning. Resources are being demobilized and re-assigned to other fires. Remaining crews are working on suppression repair. Expect to see some smoke as the fire continues to consume unburned vegetation in the interior of the fire.

Firefighters made great progress yesterday with containment increasing to 85%. The fire will be turned over to a Type 4 team at 6 AM Tuesday morning. Resources are being demobilized and re-assigned to other fires as needed. Expect to see some smoke as the fire continues to consume unburned vegetation in the interior of the fire.

No change in size or containment overnight. Firefighters will work on strengthening containment lines and mopping up 50 feet in from the line today.

Firefighters worked on the south side of the fire on Alder Ridge strengthening containment lines and making significant progress today. Moderate fire behavior was observed; the fire mostly consumed unburned vegetation in the interior of the fire with some isolated tree torching. Firefighters will be monitoring the fire through the night.

Firefighters made good progress overnight. The north side of the fire is within the containment area. Firefighters will be working on the south side of the fire on Alder Ridge and strengthening containment lines today.
Concerns remain for Alder lookout and the communication site on Alder Ridge.
Sand Flat campground is impacted due to incident traffic as that road is the major access to the incident.
Highway 50 should see increased traffic in the Sand Flat area so travelers should be cautious.

Firefighters will remain on scene overnight and continue to stregthen the containment lines. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Air Attack is planning on releasing both tankers to a load and hold. Both flanks are looking really good. The backside of the ridgeline needs to be scouted for potential. Relief air attack is inbound, will take over until sundown. Fire is now mostly burning on the back side of ridge and visibility is marginal, due to smoke.

Per Air Attack, 3-4 small hotspots are still active, none bigger than 1/10th of an acre. The left and right flanks of the fire are looking good, retardant lines are holding.

Alder Air Attack is recommitting Tanker 89 to the fire. The tanker was on load and hold in Grass Valley for the Moody Fire.
