Beale, Spenceville Road between Penn Valley and Smartsville in Nevada County. June 28, 2016 at 8:58 AM Please watch for fire engines leaving the Spenceville Road area. The cause of the fire is under investigation. June 28, 2016 at 8:53 AM IC is canceling helicopter 205 and the Washington Ridge crew. The fire is fully contained at approximately 10 acres. Firefighters will be committed for several hours with mop-up operations. A prevention Officer is en route to the fire. June 28, 2016 at 8:48 AM Helicopter is en route to the Beale incident. June 28, 2016 at 8:46 AM Updated acreage is now approximately 10 acres, IC reports the fire is burning at a slow to moderate rate of spread in grass and oak woodlands. There was minimal extension to the wildland, firefighters will be committed for several hours. June 25, 2016 at 5:13 PM IC reports a 3,000 sq ft home, one room only involved. Good progress is being made. June 25, 2016 at 5:08 PM Quarter IC reports no extension to the wildland, this is a structure fire only. Incident Commander requests 3 water tenders totaland estimates the structure involvement at 25%. June 25, 2016 at 4:59 PM First unit at scene reports this as a structure fire. The house is 50% involved. June 25, 2016 at 4:48 PM Full wildland dispatch to Quarterhorse Drive in the area of McCourtney Road and Lime Kiln Road in Grass Valley. Mt. Howell lookout reports grey top smoke, confirmed by Oregon Peak Lookout.
