The Gate Fire remains at 2,056 acres and is now 95% contained. All evacuation orders and warnings have been lifted in the fire area.

Overnight temperatures and a rise in humidity allowed firefighters to make meaningful progress toward complete containment. Fire is primarily burning in grass with some sparse brush.

Otay Lakes Rd is open to all traffic. Road closures along Hwy 94 have been lifted in the area of the fire, please drive with caution.

Evacuation order for Pio Pico remains in effect due to infrastructure damage at the campground.

Most residents have been relocated to the Red Cross evacuation center at Otay Ranch High School in Chula Vista.

Dulzura remains under an evacuation warning although residents that chose to evacuate were escorted back to their homes overnight.

Evacuated residents can go to San Diego Red Cross shelter at Otay Ranch High School, 1250 Olympic Parkway,CV, 91913

Pio Pico Campground on Otay Lakes had been evacuated to Eastlake Walmart parking lot in Chula Vista.

Dulzura is under an evacuation warning, the temporary evacuation point will be the Viejas Casino parking lot.

Otay Lakes Road at Wueste Road, Both directions of SR 94 closed from Honey Springs Road to SR-188

Threat to 500 KV power lines.

Federal ground and air resources committed.
