Hill, Riverside Unit, Cal Fire. Three miles southeast of Ontario, CA. Brush and tall grass. Minimal fire behavior with smoldering.

6:45 p.m. – All evacuations have been lifted as of 6:45 p.m. After better mapping the fire has been measured at 628 acres and is 30% contained.  Please be cautious when returning to the area as fire personnel continue working in the area.
[UPDATE] 6:00 p.m. – The fire remains at 250 acres and 15% contained.
[UPDATE] 4:15 p.m. – The fire is now 250 acres and 5% contained. The forward rate of spread has been stopped.
[UPDATE] Evacuation order zones downgraded to evacuation warning in the areas west of Lindsay St, south of Pennsylvania, north of Van Buren Blvd, and east of Wineville Rd. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and the Riverside County Emergency Management Department continue to work cooperatively to fully contain/control the Hill Fire, so that residents may return home as soon as possible.
[UPDATE] 3:15 p.m. – A second Care and Reception Center has been opened at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, located at 7447 Scholar Way, Corona, CA 92880
[UPDATE] 2:00 p.m. – The fire remains at 200 acres and 5% contained. One civilian with minor injuries transported by ground to a local hospital. One mobile home and one residential structure have been damaged.
[Update] 1:02 P.M. The fire is now 200 acres and 5% contained.

The following areas are now under an EVACUATION WARNING: West of Lindsay Street, East of Grapevine, North of Van Buren and South of Philadelphia.

[Update] 12:57 P.M. – 12:57 p.m. – The Western County Animal Shelter is accepting large and small animals: 6851 Van Buren Blvd, Jurupa Valley 92509. Animal Control has an Offier at the Evacuation Center located at Patriot High School and can receive small animals if needed.

[UPDATE] 12:05 p.m. – The fire is currently 100 acres and 0% contained.
[UPDATE] 11:40 p.m. – Mandatory Evacuation are in place for West of Pyrite, East of Pedley Rd., North of Mission.
[UPDATE] 11:00 a.m. – Mandatory evacuations are in place for Santiago Estates Mobile Home Park, located at 3700 Quartz Canyon Road and Bravo Estates Mobile Home Park, located at 4080 Pedley Road. Highway 60 is closed in both directions in the area. The fire is currently 50 acres and 0% contained.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on scene of a wildland fire near the intersection of Granite Hill Drive and Pyrite Street, in Jurupa Valley. The first arriving resource reported the fire at 1-2 acres in light flashy fuels with a rapid rate of spread, burning midslope with 20 mph winds. Currently, the fire is 10-15 acres.
