Crews worked through the night patrolling and mopping up the fire perimeter. Crews will remain active today. Firefighters will continue reinforcing lines today and completing fire suppression repair.

Firefighters worked through the evening patrolling and mopping up the fire perimeter. Light winds and overnight humidity allowed fire activity to subside overnight. Damage inspection continues.

Firefighters continued building additional containment line today. Decreased winds and increased humidity have stopped fire growth. Crews will mop-up and patrol this evening mitigating hot spots that may threaten the fire perimeter. Damage assessment teams have surveyed the fire area and are 95% complete.

All Evacuation Orders and Warnings for the Blue Ridge Fire have been lifted and repopulation has begun as of yesterday 5:00 PM. Fire spread has slowed due to the decrease in winds and humidity over the fire area. Firefighters continue to make progress constructing direct handline and working perimeter control. Crews will maintain active patrol through the evening, mopping up and securing additional line.

Extreme fire weather conditions continued today, strong and gusty northeast winds prevailed across the area with gusts between 30 and 50mph. Winds will be much weaker this evening in the 20-25 mph range. Firefighters will take advantage of this evening’s conditions to build containment lines.

Evacuations have been ordered in Yorba Linda, Chino Hills, and the Sleepy Hollow area of Brea. Olinda Ranch and Brea Hills

The weather is expected to improve today w/winds predicted @ 10 mph w/gusts of 20. Aircraft is anticipated to be used provided the weather cooperates.

There are 4,688 homes (15,331 people) under mandatory evacuation orders in Chino Hills. An additional 2,850 people are under an evacuation warning.

This includes Sleepy Hollow, Hill of Hope, Hillcrest, Oak Tree Downs, Pine Valley Estates, Western Hills Estates, Summit Ranch on the north.

Sleepy Hollow, Valley Springs/Western Hills Oaks, Carriage Hills, and Old Carbon Canyon Road on the south.
