Air Attack 230 is released from the fire. Incoming engines and other resources to the fire are being canceled. Mop-up operations are starting. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

With help from the air tankers and their retardant drops the firefighters on the ground are making good progress. The forward progress of the fire has been stopped.

Fire is estimated at 1-2 acres, burning in brush and timber. It is called the Rex Fire
