November 1, 2021 – Discover the beauty in your own backyard and help contribute to our community by building a bridge of donated food across the span of the old South Yuba River Bridge to benefit the The Food Bank of Nevada County.
Organized by local realtor Pamela Morey, the event combines seeing fall colors, taking a stroll near the river and helping the Food Bank to collect much-needed donations.
Take Hwy 49 from Nevada City towards North San Juan and stop at the 49’er bridge. The event is on the old bridge, now only open to foot traffic. Bring non-perishable goods and help fill the bridge for those in need.
According to the Food Bank of Nevada County’s website:
We are in urgent need of ‘pop-top’ canned meals with easy open lids for our most vulnerable populations.
We also accept both fresh and nonperishable food at our warehouse 310 Railroad Ave, Grass Valley, CA or you can find a local donation barrel at local grocery stores, like SPD.
For questions about donating food
please call (530)272-3796 for more information.
It’s the holiday season again and we would greatly appreciate donations of holiday items: Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes/Yams, Cranberry Sauce, and Pumpkin.
You can also donate directly here: https://foodbankofnc.org/donate
The event is supported by REALTORS® and staff of Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty. For more information, contact Pamela at 530-913-7308.
