August 28, 2020 – The wildfires are raging. Our nation is at Preparedness Level 5. Already in 2020, too many wildland firefighters have been injured or paid the ultimate price keeping the public safe. The Wildland Firefighter Foundation’s mission is to help families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and to assist injured firefighters and their families.

Founded in 2012, Spouses & Partners of Wildland Firefighters is an online group of women in committed relationships with wildland firefighters. We empower the women in our group to thrive amid the challenges that are inherent in the crazy wildland life. From our beginning we have worked closely with the Wildland Firefighter Foundation to raise funds to support their programs and to date have raised over $50,000.

All proceeds from the Virtual 5k Run/Walk will be donated to the Foundation. It can be completed anytime and anywhere from Sep 15 to Oct 15.

Oct 3 is designated as the day everyone can do it together, but virtually in your favorite location. Sign up everyone in your family for the level they’re comfortable with.
