November 14, 2017 – With the most recent devastating wildfires in Nevada County, as well as those in Napa and Solano counties and throughout California, Nevada County will be holding a community meeting at the Alta Sierra Country Club on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4 to 5:30PM to discuss crisis response and emergency evacuation preparedness for Alta Sierra and surrounding community.
The event will include a panel format discussion followed by questions and answers. The event will include participants from CalFIRE, Fire Safe Council of Nevada County, Greater Alta Sierra Firewise Community, Nevada County Consolidated Fire District, Nevada County Office of Emergency Services, and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
Community members are encouraged to submit questions by email ahead of time at oes@co.nevada.ca.us. Questions may also be submitted in person during the meeting.
