GRASS VALLEY, Calif. March 5, 2018 – The Nevada County Democrats are presenting a debate among the three declared candidates for Nevada County Sheriff this Tuesday, March 6 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley.
The program will be presented as part of the First Tuesday series, starting at 5:30 pm with light refreshments. The debate, featuring John Foster, Shannan Moon and Bill Smethers will start at 6:00 pm.
The format for the debate is designed to have candidates answer as many questions as possible, including follow-up questions and very short rebuttals from their opponents.
To maximize question and answer time, the schedule is as follows: Two-minute opening statements by each candidate, followed by a round of individual or group questions by the moderator, YubaNet’s editor Pascale Fusshoeller. Then, onto questions submitted by the audience and ending with the candidates’ closing statements.
