Cause of structure fire in Alta Sierra remains under investigation

June 10, 2019 – Nevada County Consolidated and Grass Valley Firefighters responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 17000 Block of Brandy Place in Alta Sierra at 9:45 pm on Sunday.

NCCFD E89 arrived first to find a large two story residential structure about 50% involved. Crews began an exterior fire attack prior to transitioning into an interior fire attack. Cause of the fire remains under investigation. Additional resources were added to the initial alarm by the Incident Commander, those included Ophir Hill, Placer Hills and Cal Fire along with Sierra Nevada Paramedics.

Grass Valley Engine (E) E1 and E2, Battalion 1, NCCFD Engine 88 and Engine 89, Water Tender 84 and all assiting agencies were released at 4:00 am.
