GRASS VALLEY, Calif. October 12, 2017 – The Nevada County Fairgrounds has transformed once again into an Incident Command Post, this time for the Wind Complex comprised of the McCourtney, Lobo, Cascade and LaPorte fires.

1,161 firefighters from all over California are assigned to the fires. CalOES published the “Assigned Fire Resources” list for today and here are the 83 fire departments deserving special thanks from the community.

The list does not include other cooperating agencies like Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, Cal OES, Red Cross, California Highway Patrol, United States Forest Service, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, PG&E, California Department of Transportation, Nevada Irrigation District.

  1. Or all the other fire districts from Nevada County that are on the fire lines. Grass Valley City, Higgins Fire District, Nevada City, North San Juan Fire District, Ophir Hill Fire District, Peardale-Chicago Park Fire District,

    1. They were all on the fires of course, and they are on CalOES’ list under Nevada County Operational Area. Take it up with them.
