County releases application for the agricultural vacancy on the Community Advisory Group (CAG)

NEVADA CITY, Calif. July 12, 2017 – As a follow up to the July 11th Board of Supervisors meeting regarding the vacancy on the Community Advisory Group (CAG), the application to fill the vacancy is now available online, on our Cannabis Conversation website. The application period opened on July 12th and will close July 19th at 5pm. MIG, the County’s facilitator, will make a recommendation to the Board on July 25th on filling the vacancy. Applications may be submitted by mail, email, or in-person per the instructions on the application.

The Cannabis Regulation Community Advisory Group (CAG) was formed by the Board of Supervisors to advise the Board on the development of a permanent Cannabis Ordinance for Nevada County. This inclusive process will take into account the input of all community stakeholders. Nevada County has contracted MIG as a consultant during this process. MIG will provide facilitation services for the Cannabis Regulation Community Advisory Group to ensure a fair and equitable process while advising and drafting a new Cannabis Ordinance.
