Families impacted by the storm/power outages can access bottled water, groceries (canned goods, fresh produce, milk, eggs), and hot soup to take home. It will be completely Drive Thru, guests will be asked to stay in their cars, and they can pick up food for themselves and for their neighbors. PLEASE check on your neighbors! If guests need firewood, they can stop next door at the Fire Station after getting their food.

When: Thursday 1/6, 1-3pm and Tuesday 1/11, 3-5pm

Want to donate something? Donations will be accepted 12-1pm on Thursday 1/6 and 2-3pm on Tuesday 1/11. Most needed items include bottled water, peanut butter, and canned goods. Financial donations are also accepted and appreciated (receipt provided upon request).

Where: Parking Lot of Alta Sierra Country Club at 11897 Tammy Way, Grass Valley, CA 95949

When facing the clubhouse, the entrance is to the far left into the parking lot (look for signs). Cars will be looped around back towards the clubhouse and stopped under the overhang for the supplies to be loaded into cars by volunteers before exiting back onto Tammy Way. Please drive carefully as there are still several roads that are partially blocked by downed trees/power lines.

Who: For ALL families impacted by the storm, especially those living in and around the Alta Sierra neighborhood. For those living north of Alta Sierra, the regular food distribution events held by both Interfaith Food Ministry and the Food Bank of Nevada County are likely more convenient and accessible. More info can be found at interfaithfoodministry.org and foodbankofnc.org.

Why: Because we care about our neighbors.

How: This effort has been coordinated by Interfaith Food Ministry and is supported by the Food Bank of Nevada County, the Rotary Club of Grass Valley South (supplying volunteers), and Melinda and her team of Angels (supplying the hot soup to-go). Special THANKS to Alta Sierra Country Club.
