September 20, 2018 – An inmate who walked from the California Correctional Center (CCC) Washington Ridge Conservation Camp in Nevada County on September 18 was apprehended this afternoon.
Inmate Justin Tyquiengco was taken into custody without incident by CDCR’s Special Service Unit and Fugitive Apprehension Team agents at around 12:15 p.m. at a gas station in the San Leandro area. He is being transported to California Correctional Center in Susanville, and will no longer be eligible to be housed in a conservation camp.
Tyquiengco was received by CDCR in September 2015, from Contra Costa County with a six-year sentence for second-degree robbery with the use of a firearm. He received an additional commitment in Alameda County to serve one year consecutive with his primary sentence for second-degree robbery.
Since 1977, 99 percent of all offenders who have left an adult institution, camp, or community-based program without permission have been apprehended.
