Chico, CA – Butte County resident Jason Mandly is joining the growing number of small California businesses that are pitching in to support the Camp Fire recovery efforts. This effort hits close to home for Mandly, who started a family and started work on his ambitious California Hiking Map project in Paradise, California before settling in Chico.
“Paradise was a place we once called home,” says Mandly.“More importantly, it’s still home to friends, colleagues, and thousands of others that need help. This is just one way my family is trying to help out.” Jason will donate 25% of all profits from the sale of his trail maps to Sierra Nevada Brewery’s Camp Fire Relief Fund and the North Valley Community Foundation.
The original California Hiking Map was launched on Kickstarter in 2016 and is a giant 40” x 60” wall poster attempting to show all the hiking trails in the entire state of California on one piece of paper. In addition to standard hiking trails, the map highlights trails in urban areas, dedicated bike paths, and historical routes.
For those seeking a smaller sized poster, a Northern California and Southern California Edition of the California Hiking Map were released in November 2018. More information at www.californiahikingmap.com.
