NEVADA CITY, Calif. September 20, 2018 – The League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County is presenting their first candidate forum for the November General Election tonight. Candidates vying for a seat on the Nevada Irrigation District (NID) Board will present their positions and answer questions from the public and the media.

NID District 1 candidate Ricki Heck, who is unopposed, asked to give a short statement at the beginning of the discussion and leave the remainder of the time for questions in the contested District 2 race.

Candidates Chris Bierwagen and Bruce Herring, running for the NID District 2 Director position, round out the panel.

The forum will be held in the Board Chambers at the Nevada County Rood Center in Nevada City and live broadcast via KVMR 89.5 FM and NCTV. Kickoff time is 7:00 p.m. and the forum will conclude at 8:30 p.m.
