NEVADA CITY, Calif. May 3. 2018 – It’s been 12 years since Nevada City voters had a say in who will represent them on the city council – previous races were not contested.

Tonight, come and meet the four candidates vying for two seats on the council. The forum starts at 6:30 pm at City Hall, doors open at 6:00 pm.

According to Evans Phelps, who organized tonight’s forum “The great thing about local government is that you can get things done, people do have a voice, we are a nonpartisan organization, we are all volunteers trying to do our best for our community because we care, all of us.”

Questions from the public and the media will be put to the candidates by a moderator. City Hall is located at 317 Broad Street in Nevada City.
