Nevada City, Calif. May 13, 2019 – On Thursday, May 30, the Nevada County Economic Resource Council (ERC) is inviting manufacturing companies in Nevada County to attend the inaugural “Nevada County Manufacturing Forum.” This free event will connect small and medium-sized manufacturing (SMM) companies with community organizations, educational institutions, and nonprofits that are all working to help local manufacturing companies thrive and become more profitable.
The ERC is producing this forum as part of a new “Manufacturing Connection” initiative in partnership with California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC), a federally funded nonprofit that provides technical assistance for SMMs to help them grow and retain jobs in California. The cities of Grass Valley and Nevada City, the Town of Truckee, and the County Board of Supervisors are all supporters of this event. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with their peers and participate in a facilitated discussion about common challenges that local manufacturing businesses are facing.
Several local and regional agencies will be present to answer questions about the services and resources they provide to help accelerate business growth and transform operations to be more innovative, efficient, and market-driven. These agencies include Sierra Business Council, Business and Career Center, Nevada County Tech Connection, Nevada County Sierra College, Nevada County Economic Resource Council, and California Manufacturing Technology Consulting.
The event will be held from 8:00 am to 9:30 am on Thursday the 30th of May in the conference room of Grass Valley-A Belden Brand, located at 125 Crown Point Ct, Grass Valley, CA 95945. Reserve your seat at http://bit.ly/ManufacturingConnection or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
