The training will include vehicle extrication and vehicle fire training. We will be setting the donated vehicles on fire to allow our volunteers an opportunity to gain experience in extinguishing them in a controlled environment. The heaviest rain and snow is expected Friday night into Saturday morning with mountain travel impacts likely. We will also see breezy southerly winds develop Friday afternoon and continue into Friday night with the strongest winds expected over the Sacramento Valley. We will see more clouds than sun today though as a system passes to our south and that will also bring an isolated snow shower chance to the high Sierra over Tuolumne County this afternoon into the evening. Valley rain showers and mountain snow return to the area Friday night and will continue into at least the first part of Saturday. This does not look like a very wet system but will likely still see some mountain travel impacts from it. Things dry out for the second half of Saturday and dry weather will continue into Sunday.
