September 2, 2021 at 9:31 PM A “bunch of cones” in the fast lane on eastbound I-80 just west of Weimar Cross Road off ramp. Apparently the cones were hit and are now blocking the lane. Retaliation by traffic cones, that’s a new one.
September 2, 2021 at 8:07 PM Nevada City Police Activity: Today at about 4:00 PM, an allied law enforcement agency attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor violation. The unknown male driver failed to yield and sped away into Nevada City. Moments later, the suspect lost control of his vehicle and crashed into parked vehicles, ultimately coming to rest against a curb on Broad St. near Sacramento St. The suspect exited his vehicle and ran to a nearby pedestrian trail that afforded areas of concealment and multiple directions to flee. No one else was in the suspect vehicle. Nevada City PD Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The investigation continues. September 2, 2021 at 7:16 PM The 64 customers out of power on Table Mountain Road should have their power restored by midnight tonight, according to PG&E. The cause is listed as an equipment issue.

Out of 7,503 cases since the start of the pandemic, 712 are active. Twenty-two people are hospitalized – seven in ICU.
