This holiday season, a group of over 4,400 Placer County residents are coordinating an effort to memorialize, honor and remember members of the community who have passed away from complications associated with COVID-19 over the past 21 months. The holidays are often a time of reflection, and members of “Placer County COVID-19 Information” and “Placer County COVID Memorial” groups raised funds and have donated their time to present this holiday memorial.

During Roseville’s Christmas Tree Grove on display from 12/1 to 12/9 at Vernon Street Town Square in Roseville, we will display a Christmas tree that will have a silver bell representing each member of our community who has passed on from complications of COVID-19.
After the display event is complete, on December 10, we will present a silver bell to participating family members with their loved one’s name, for them to keep as a memento.
This is where we really need our community’s assistance. If you know someone who lived in Placer County and passed away due to complications associated with COVID-19, and would like a personalized ornament from our tree in their honor, please contact our ornament coordinator at jc8.public@gmail.com.
Thank you for helping us honor the memories of many cherished community members this holiday season.
